I was born on the 10th of August, 1985 - a sheer blessing to my parents, (c'mon, who's not a blessing to their parents?;) "supermom" Alice and "superdad" Eddie, who's a Fil-Am by blood, by the way. I've got one "super kuya" named Edward Ian and a "super sis," Kristel Joy or KJ (who's not a bit of a "KJ").
An all-Bicolano girl, my young mind and heart were cultivated at the Tabaco South Central Elem. School, and were further nurtured in the Special Science Class of the Tabaco National High School. The city of Tabaco, and Albay in general, were (and still are) HOME to me. But young as I was, I knew then that someday I'd be leaving my beloved birthplace in quest for the "holy grail" - tahdah!! - KNOWLEDGE. And LIFE.
And the University of the Philippines is just the perfect place. Pardon my being biased against other schools - no offense, guyz!! - but UP is the best academic institution for me. c:
I was awakened to the realities of the world. I was trained to think critically, creatively, open-mindedly, and to work HARD like never before. I am a Filipino; a daughter; a sister; a friend; a Skolar ng Bayan; a SIGNIFICANT being -- and such meanings were never before clearer and more meaningful until I entered UP. (Aawww...Suweeet)
My family. My childhood. My friends. My highschool life. My UP life. All these contribute to the person that I AM right now. In case you're wondering who THAT person I am right now, here's a rough sketch:
Family woman. Yep,family comes first and foremost; no matter how "pasaway"or "suwail" I may be at times...Sometimes lang ha! ;)
OC. I 1) am very particular with details; 2)like everything to be in order and be under control; 3) want everything done the "hundred percent way." Freaky huh? Sometimes,it does scare me too.ahehe. (wait...does that make me OC? di naman dibah?! dibah??!)
Conscientious. Academics-wise, that is.Which has something to do with my being OC (raw). hehe.
Insomniac. So as confirmed by my doctor :c Forty-nine hours - straight - without sleep! (Beat that!) And I was so uber hyped up with energy that day that it scared the wits out of me. (Like, "Am I normal? Am I gonna break down anytime soon?") Uuck. The scary side of me.
Emotional. High affect intensity + high emotional expressivity = (guess what?) 1 vulnerable, emotional, touchy li'l Roxanne!! c:
Future Careerwoman. Karirin ang pagiging social science/ communication researcher!! And hopefully, with a law degree and a BAR slot to boot too...Wushu!! Asa pa. Ehe.
Zero Social life. Zero love life. That's a personal choice; and maybe, because of my being "walang panahon" na rin siguro. Heck, I sometimes convince myself that I'm one of the busiest persons in the world. Tsk Tsk.
But fiercely loyal. Trust me. As if the ga-zillion times I swoon over "AC" (literally, the letters A and C...ahehe) every day is not proof enough. Haaayy. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC. AC... (alphabet hah.nyehe)
