Foerster Engineering provides the public and the private
sectors with a variety of services: traffic and transportation engineering;
municipal services consulting; citizen involvement consensus building;
investigating; zoning, land use, and planning consulting; expert testifying;
technical reporting; and researching.
Transportation Strategies,
Inc.

1998.
Transportation Strategies, Inc is an affiliate of the
international law firm Winstead Sechrest & Minick, P.C. Responsibilities
included: transportation and urban planning projects; client relations;
contract development and negotiation; general administration; supervision
of sub-consultants; and business development.
North Central Project Office
Deputy Corridor Manager, July 1987 to January 1995.
The North Central Project Office of the Texas Department
of Transportation was formed to oversee the consulting engineering firms'
development of the design and construction plans for U.S. 75: North
Central Expressway. Five major areas of responsibility:
Mobility Planning:
As representative for the Department on the North Central
Mobility Task Force, responsibilities included: designed and planned
of the mobility efforts in the north central corridor before and during
$820,000,000 in construction projects; maintained the integrity of the
residential community and the economic viability of the business community;
chaired engineering discussions in monthly meetings; investigated, designed,
and evaluated innovative and multiple solutions to unique transit anomalies;
and promoted opportunities for participatory forums to openly discuss
projects in one-on-one, small group, and public meetings.
Management and Staff Development:
As an adjunct-instructor to an Austin Division, responsibilities
included: developed and conducted continuous improvement training lectures;
prepared curriculum and lesson plans; and supervised lecture activities.
Development of Traffic Control Plans:
As project manager, responsibilities included: supervised
consultant's activity, billing, and workload; design, coordination,
and analysis of sign, signal, and traffic management
plans; prepared technical innovative traffic related specifications;
and organized final plans, specifications, and estimates.
Public Involvement:
As a member of the North Central team, responsibilities
included: prepared written and oral responses to comments and complaints
from the public; liaison to the City of Dallas Department of Public
Works and Transportation; and actively participated in chambers of commerce
meetings.
Engineering Support
Miscellaneous responsibilities included: negotiated
and organized office layouts, leases, and expansions; researched, moderated,
and solved historical and environmental issues; verified engineering
aspects of an existing twelve-foot drainage tunnel; testified as an
expert witness; participated in value engineering discussions; conceived
and implemented all aspects of the pre-construction survey on more than
400 structures; and supervised survey and inspector teams.
Star Manufacturing Company
Engineering Technician, January 1987 to June 1987.
Responsibilities included: estimated construction costs;
negotiated with more than 100 star dealers; and solved design and construction
problems.
Yordi Construction Company
Engineering Assistant, May 1986 to September 1986.
Responsibilities included: developed shop drawings;
conducted site inspections; reviewed utility relocations; and drafted
construction plans.
Aztec Building Systems Inc.
Metal Technician, June 1985 to October 1985.
Responsibilities included: supervised sheet metal break
crew; inventoried deliveries and warehousing of building system components;
cut and welded shapes and channels; and performed slump tests.
Paul Sprehe and Associates
Draftsman, May 1984 to December 1984.
Responsibilities included: assisted in mechanical design;
wrote computer programs; drafted mechanical plans; and photographed
operations.
Oklahoma Beta Chapter of Sigma
Phi Epsilon Fraternity
Rush Chairman, March 1983 to October 1983.
Responsibilities included: promoted fraternity's ideals;
controlled and raised an $18,000 budget; and. organized more than thirty
parties, trips, and dinners.
Architectural Design Group

maintained and inventoried office supplies; organized delivery schedules;
