Harry Potter and the World of Darkness:
Project Cleanslate
Part 1
Ge'azhal Zocrith
Officially started in 1876 by General Custer after his disastrous battle took the use of his legs, Project Cleanslate is the American Anti-Mage campaign. Originally part of the US army, Cleanslate is now under the Department of Homeland security. It holds several major patents, using the proceeds to fund their research and assaults. They are the leading Non-magical threat to the wizards and shamans of the Americas.

HISTORY

There were TWO survivors of Little Big Horn. One was Custer's horse. The other was the general himself. General Custer suffered debilitating wounds to his legs, causing the need for their amputation below the knee. The loss of his legs (and some say, a little more than his legs) hardened the man, and led him to create a new unit to combat the Demonic indian threat. His commanding officers gave him a small post in the west, an outpost really, to command as his own, under an assumed name. It seemed he was more valuable as a martyr than as a cripple. Custer, not content to govern from a wheelchair, began to admire the work of the local blacksmith. The man, it turned out, was a bit of a tinkerer, and had devised a replacement hand for a small child of the village.

When Custer, now Colonel Stark returned to Washington, after two years in exile, he walked into a stunned general's office.

Walked.

On two steel legs.

Behind him came his troops, armed with smaller, more portable versions of the Maxim guns he'd left behind before the Little Big Horn. With them, they brought carcasses. Dragons, werewolves, and other beasts were piled at the feet of the Army's commander. The last bit of proof Stark provided to the general was a captive indian, one who had to be tied and gagged to prevent him from walking through walls, summoning massive bears and wolves to his aid, and generally creating enough havoc to escape unnoticed. At first, the general scoffed at the bodies. Then Stark untied the indian's gag. The bear was cut down as it formed from nothing by a hail of bullets, but it was enough. The Army commander gave Colonel Stark his new marching orders, which are still the mission of Cleanslate to this day;

1. eradicate the indian threat

2. control the population of mythical creatures, in order to keep hysteria from breaking out. Never had a Dark Age in America. Don't want one.

3. The public may not know you exist, because if you're seen, chances are, the critter you're fighting is getting a LOT more attention.

3. root out all other supernatural menaces. Europeans might allow some warlock to prance around in their woods, but
NOT IN THE GODDAMN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
