| How do you know when you are passing through a certain stage in your life? I have thought about this and have come to a conclusion. You can tell when you are passing through a stage in your life by the shoes you buy and wear the most. When you are first born you have those very very small shoes and someone ties them for you. Then as you get older and start to walk. You get the shoes with cartoons and Velcro. So you are at a stage where you are exploring the world around you. The next stage is entering into school. Here you change shoe styles again, well most of us did. We went from the fun easy to put on and take off shoes, to tie shoes with a pump in them. By having these shoes we are saying, look at me I can tie my shoes and I have cool ones with a pump in them, so like me. We were in a stage of our lives where we tried to conform to social clicks. These types of shoes stayed with us until high school. In High school it was a whole new game it was time to start acting grown up and be a little individual. The individually it came in my ways but still look at the shoes. They changed from the every day Nikes, to maybe a pair of Timberland boots or to a shoe that wasnt quite the shoes that you grew up wearing. Once college came it was all about individuality. An explosion of sandals and no shoes at all, or you may have reverted back to the comfortable shoes you knew and loved, the only difference is that your shoes now stayed clean. Once I am out of college I will update this but I am sure my future, well shoe future will have dress shoe written all over it. |
