| In 1997, I was 17 finally save up enuff money to buy my dream car, a Toyota MR2, working for a ski resort, I drove the car up and down snow covered roads for 4 years, learning the limits of the car, and how to handle the car in poor conditions. The car was supposed to be a performance show car, |
| untill one day I was watching TV and saw an Audi quattro sitting on a dirt road, then all of a sudden it took off, with dirt flying he slid the car into a corner sideways and took a jump after that. Well I was sold from then on. I contacted the WCRA and they said to come out to a TSD, so I got a friend and went to the next race. The first stage we pasted 11 cars and 4 check point cars before they got to their spots. After that I had to race in the PRO races, so I mounted a roll cage and got a suit and helmet. In the first race we had some minor problems including brake pads being on fire at the end of one stage, sunroof blowig off at 160kph and the muffler coming off, but the car finished respectably in 9th o/a 1st in class. The next race however we rolled the car at 100kph, but were able to roll it back over and get home. The car now has 428,000km and is painted with tremclad , and as soon as I get out of school we will continue to kick the crap out of her. |
