RRR prepares for Mountain Trials Rally

For Imediate Release:

Vancouver B.C. Sept 2 - Hopes are high as the Rowdy Rally Team prepare to tackle the Mountain Trials Rally set to run Sept 27, in Merrit B.C.  The team is coming off a tough go at the Pacific Forest Rally, that saw them launch the Toyota MR2 off a 10-foot cliff early in the rally.  Despite the hard landing the team was able to get the car back onto the road and salvage a respectable stage time.

The rally would come to an end however, after a cracked radiator pipes leaked out all the cars coolant on the next tranist stage. Driver Budd Stanley attempted to make repairs while stand-in co-driver Greg Karenko collected water from a farmers field sprinkler.  The repairs were fultile and the team was forced to retire.

With the car currently be prepped at Bavaria Car Studio, the team is looking foreward to the upcoming Mountain Trials Rally.
"The season hasn't started as well as we had hoped, and I am getting very anxious to get behind the wheel again," noted Stanley.  "The car should be better than it's been all year, and we hope to leave merrit with some much needed points."

Mountain Trials will also see the return of regular co-driver Dwane Jackman of Barbados.  "I'm looking forward to the rally, hopefully without any bad luck we can show what we're really capable of," says Jackman.  "We are starting to know the roads in this rally pretty well now, so we should leave Merrit with a good finish."

Rowdy Rally Racing would like to thank its current sponsors, Bavaria Car Studio, RPM magazine and MRM motorsports of Scotland. These three companies have supported the team through out the 2003 season.
