In every little corner of the world lies someone different, someone with visions of life, seen through his eyes alone. Though the sights may be suspiciously familiar to those around him, there is a slightly different light being shed for certain individuals. What is mundane and the same to some is exciting, perhaps abstract, to others. These are the poets of the world, of life itself. Maybe it's your next door neighbor; perhaps the town bully. Even the local grocer may have a hidden passion. I recently caught an old episode of The X Files where the Smoking Man was a closet writer, sitting in a dimly lit room, typing away on an old manual typewriter, hoping for an acception amongst the many rejection letters of his submissions. It was an interesting show, and made me think. Apart from the usual shows which deal with strange phenomena, genetic mutants or space aliens (or are they the same?), this particular show cast a view on a part of a character we don't normally see, and may never see again. I don't follow the show religiously, so I'm sure there've been other episodes which have similar content, and I may have even seen some, but I found this one particularly intriguing.

Writing is an avenue many pursue, but where few find success. For years, those with this secret love, whether in an attempt for financial freedom, or simply a way to vent, have sat somewhere, putting pen to paper. Since the internet has grown to such immense popularity, the opportunity for people to share their work has increased largely. I created this page for that very reason. One cannot share his work if he doesn't know where to go, so I'm doing what I can to show the less than 100 visitors per month who visit my site some places as a start. These are forums, basically message boards, in which writers post their work, hoping for feedback, constructive criticism, if you will. Oftentimes a piece will get response. This is no guarantee, of course, that anything you post will automatically receive high praise, or anything at all for that matter, but it will at least give you the chance to share your questions or ideas, as well as letting others see what you have to say, perhaps inspiring them to compose a new piece based on something you wrote. With all this said, feel free to explore the links below, and if you have a site you would like to suggest, or have any other comments, don't hesitate to contact me. I'll add it as soon as I can. If you don't mind, I'd be interested in knowing how you found this site, where you're from, and what some of your interests are. You won't wind up on a mailing list because of me, it's for my own curiosity. I enjoy meeting other people, and sharing common interests. Who knows, we might make a new friend.
