I am continually adding links on this page. Most of these sites are 240 specific, but they include technical sites, vendors, and Z specific sites. Please send me a note if any link is incorrect or outdated.
ZCar.Com There are boards for 70-83Z's, 84-89ZX's, and 90+ ZX's. There is a good base of knowledgable people that can generally answer any question in a short time. Their is a good For Sale boards, Links, Articles. This along with Hybridz.org and Zdriver.com are your best online source for immediate Z-car technical information.
HybridZ.org A great site with information and message boards geared towards the hybrid Z, ie V8, V6, Turbo conversions, and much much more. Very open minded discussion about modifying the Z. Not the place to go if you are a purist. Of course, you wouldn't really be here if you were! This is by far the best place to go if you want to modify your Z beyond stock. You will likely find the best resource of knowledgable people here,(with regards to modifying, esp. V8 conversion).
Zdriver.com Message boards, articles, links, a good companion to zcar.com and hybridz.com. Kyle has worked for several years expanding this site out and it is now an good compliment to the Z world.
The IZCC home page This site is the Internet Z car Club site. This site has the most information for your Z from 70-96. It includes everything from technical articles to production figures and racing information. This is a must stop for the Z enthusiast. It also contains information on how to get on the IZCC mailing list. The mailing list is another excellent way to link yourself to people all over the world with excellent knowledge. This and the 240 list are the primary e-mail lists for the Early Z enthusiast.
The 240Z club website This is home to the 240Z mailing list. You can get information about subscribing to it, change your preferences for the list, and get some good information about the 240. The 240 list was created to counter the volume of mail through the "Big" list, or the IZCC list. It is specific to the 240, and has great people who contribute. You can ask everything from the mundane how can I get rid of that thunk in my rear, to how can I make a 400hp, turbo'd streetable 240? Mike has continued to expand the 240z.org site and it now has a comprehensive message board and an expanding links section
The Datsun Garage Bryan Little has taken a lot of time, and put on his site simple, easy to understand instructions on how to upgrade many parts on early Z's with parts from later ones, to include, swaps of the later L28, R200 rear end, HEI conversion/electronic ignition conversion, and much much more. He has followed up with some runs at the dragstrip. I have found his site to be the most well laid out for the unknowledgable new Z mechanic. A must stop if you are considering any modifications to your 240, 260 or 280Z.
Technical article archive This is quite possibly one of the best collections of technical posts and articles about cars. Many were written by John De Armond - who frequently posts to the IZCC big list. Many tough automotive topics are discussed and explained.
Kyle's home page Kyle has included a GM HEI upgrade with great pictures, how to tune your SU's, some articles on brakes, etc... a good stop. Kyle helps maintain the 240 list with Mike.
WWW.Datsuns.Com While this is mostly a 510's page, it has a wealth of great technical information. Dave has some programs for caclulating tire sizes, engine rpms, etc.. He has referenced some information on superchargers for the L6,(look under forced induction), and some great simplified explanations of some of the harder to understand automotive issues, from handling to gearing. The Technical department is a must stop if you visit this page.
Trevor's homepage Trevor has some links including the Craig Marcho Toyota front caliper brake upgrade,(slightly different and eaiser from the one on my page). I have linked his non-frames page because he has programed that annoying feature where it won't let you go back a page w/o bypassing the back button. Some of his links are outdated, but there is enough good ones to warrant attention.
Great SU carburetor technical site! Rebuilding, Adjusting, troubleshooting, etc.. It was put together by a 4 cylinder type, but applies equally to our Z's. Great info for tuning/troubleshooting.
The old Zhome site It is somewhat eaiser to navigate than the new zhome.com. It is older, and some of the articles are not included on the current zhome.com. Esp. useful is the link to Marc Sayer's old articles/posts to the mailing lists.
The Dime QuarterlyA newsletter for the 510. Very thorough website with many articles. Has message board and classified sections as well. Neat horsepower calculator. Fairly accurate for my car. Again, 510 oriented.
White Face gauges This is a download page where you can turn your instruments to white faced gauges. The instructions are from Steve Graber who built the beautiful silver VR roadster that I have lost the link to. It are modeled directly from the stock Datsun gauges. - Found the link! Steve Graber's Velo Rossa Spyder!
Zbuild.net Simon DeGroot has outlined his '71 240 Turbo project. His work is top notch and the end result is fantastic. While not too many how-to's, he has many detailed pictures of his mods and what parts he used. Worth the visit.
Jeremy Roth's 240 site He has several technical articles relating to his 240, some v8 realted, some not, but all good. Not as detailed on the projects, but a good overall review of each one.
Jack's 69 Zed flash site A really nice 69 240 Turbo. No information other than pictures with descriptions. Fun site to surf.
Bryan Feldman's 510 page This page, while having very little to do with Z's, has some of the coolest cars I have seen. Bryan has layed out the love of his life, 510's. He has everything from a mild rotary conversion, to the twin-turbo V6 firebreather, to his ultimate street machine buildup. He used to work for Turbo Tom, who made the turbo kits for the L6 before it was readily available. Stop by just to see what he can do. A very well laid out site.
Now on to club sites, and vendor sites.
Arizona Z car This company is based in Mesa Arizona, and deals mostly in high performace parts for the early Z's. They are somewhat pricey, but nowhere else can you get a custom 84mm forged crank for the Z.
Z Car CreationsOnline Z car store. One wire alternator conversions, Z Car microfiche CD and other parts. Contains several items not available elsewhere.

Please don't e-mail looking for an immediate response. The Navy keeps me really busy, so it may be up to several weeks before I can respond.
