| It turned out the race was postponed due to lack of wind, we had a few hours to float around, eat lunch and enjoy the unseasonably warm weather. Sailing on San Francisco Bay in shorts and T-shirts? |

| Well, eventually the wind picked up to a nice, steady, moderate breeze. The race was a ton of fun, and the rest of the crew were really great. We may not have won, but I know we were all happy with how we performed and how well we worked together as a team. I can't wait for the next one! On the way home, after passing back under the Bay Bridge (fortunately I was not at the top of the mast this time), the wind picked up, the chop got bigger and the fog was rolling in. Before you know it, it was blowing easily 25-28 knots, visability was a few hundred feet, and we were getting tossed around and drenched on deck. A fun wild ride to be sure, and an exciting end to the day. |
