Saw this car in the salvage section down at the scrapyard, 'Bridges' and went back three days later to buy it and collect it. I paid 350 for it, but it has some damage to the front wing and door on the passenger side. However, the price seems reasonable considering I could probably get the money back selling it as parts.
The drive home was ... entertaining! Not a problem, and even the rough running cleared itself during the blast up the motorway. It handled brilliantly, the tyres squealing like a go-karts on fast corners, and the speed at which it pulls off from lights is quite incredible.
The general condition is good, the interior excellant, and only smal sports of rust to sort out. The future of this car seems to be heading towards either road navagational rallies or track-days. There is a slim possibility it may have the repair work done and then sold on for a small profit. This site is most definitely in the building stages, but will update when I can. In the meanwhile you can visit my site on the Rover Metro GTA I use as an everyday car, by clicking here. |
