The Rover Metro GTA was purchased to use as a first car. I had just paid my brother for his Metry 1.0 City when this turned up on Autotrader. I rushed down the same day and bought it late in the evening. The Metro City was sold for a profit which is very rare for me! I passed my test in this car on Friday 13th December 2002. Cost: �1100
The Rover Metro GTi was spotted at the scrapyard in the salvage section. It had a bump on the front passenger side door and front wing but nothing serious. Higher mileage on this example but in good condition inside and a nice engine. There was no evidence of major accident damage and the oil was clean and up to level. Cost: �345
The GTA is still being used as an everyday car, the GTi has plans in store for either navagational rallies or track-days or possibly just sorting out the damage and passing it on.
