"All The Holidays" Tree
What you need:
*A branch that looks like a tree. You can get any size branch, depending on how big you want your tree to be.
*Markers, colored pencils, paint, or anything else to color with
*Tape or glue
*Scissors
*Construction paper
*Glitter, beads, jewels, lace, fur, feathers, old holiday cards, or anything else to decorate the ornaments with.
*A flower pot or anything else to hold your tree up
*String, yarn, and/or ribbon
What to Do:
1. This project is best done when you put your tree by a wall. Have an adult help you put your tree up. You can use the flower pot and fill it up with soild to put the branch in, and you can also use thick yarn to tie it to something so that you can hold it up.
2. Decide which holiday you want your tree to represent. You can change the ornaments for every holiday! For example, you can make heart ornaments for Valentines day, or blow out eggs and decorate them for Easter! Use your materials and get creative making a bunch of ornaments to fill up your tree. You can also cut pictures out of cards or print them out of your computer.
3. When you think you have enough ornaments, cut a small piece of string, yarn, or ribbon that is about 1 1/2 in. long.
4. Make it into a loop and tape or glue the loop to the back of your ornaments.
5. You can also put Christmas lights aroud your tree. For example, you can use red lights for Valentines day, or green lights for St. Patricks day! Just be creative!
Now you have a beautiful tree with ornaments that represent every holiday! Be sure to keep them for next year!
