ROUGHIN' IT: NEW YORK CITY
EPISODE 6
REWARD CHALLENGE: "OUT THE WINDOW"

Day 17 came around and both tribes recieved mail for a reward challenge that was going to test obsevation and memory. Nick greeted them as they both met on the sidewalk infront of an old storehouse. Nick first explained the reward. The winning tribe will win showers, various toiletry items such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, brushes, scrunchies, hair dressing scissors, and a mirror. Next, Nick explained the challenge. It has three rounds. The first round, the lights will turn on in a cluttered room for three seconds and then turn off. A member from each team will look into the room through the window for until the lights turn off. He/she will be asked to name an item from that room. If that item is in the room, the game goes on and the other tribe goes, in which another member must look through the window for three seconds and name another item in the room without duplicating. Failing to name an item or duplicating an item that someone else said gives the other tribe the victory of round one. Round two is a "hot potato" like game, in which three members from each tribe look through the window of a second room for 10 seconds after which the lights will turn off. From there, one tribe member has five seconds to name an item and pass it to the other team that tries to do the same. Again failing to answer in 5 seconds or duplicating and item gives the other tribe the victory of round two. The final round is where one member from each tribe must look through one final window into a room for 20 seconds. Immediately after the lights turn off, they have 15 seconds to tell their tribemates as many items as they could find, hoping to not duplicate answers with the other tribe. At the end of 15 seconds, the tribes reveal their answers. Duplicated answers are removed from both tribe's list and the tribe with the most unduplicated answers wins the round. The tribe that wins two out of the three rounds wins reward.

Having a one-person advantage, Roy sat out for Bronx. After a quick game of paper, rock, scissors, Queens won choice of which tribe goes first and chose Bronx to start off round one. Seth was first to the window in which he saw a ladder. Adam was next and saw a pail. Leigh joked as she asked if a cameraman in the room would work, Nick laughed and gave her credit. The competiton kept up until Jerroth unknowingly duplicated the pail that Adam said six rounds before, giving Bronx the win of round one. Both tribes selected their representatives: Jacob, January, and Seth for Bronx and Robin, Adam, and Danielle P. for Queens. Robin started it off as the "potato" to Jacob, then to Adam to January and so on for a while until Seth was left stumped, giving Queens round two. The final round representatives were Carol (Queens) and Leigh (Bronx) as they stared through the last window for the fifteen seconds. The lights shut off as they ran to their teammates and began naming items to their teammates who quickly wrote them down. Time was up and the answers were revealed. Leigh and Carol duplicated 6 items each, and Leigh named 2 more items than Carol did, giving Bronx the final victory and reward.
