ROUGHIN' IT: NEW YORK CITY
EPISODE 2
THE RAINSTORM COMETH

Jacob's predictions did come true as rain started to fall. At the Queens Tribe, who was barely prepared for such a storm. Quickly grabbed a large vinyl sheet they had found at the junkyard and placed it over the tall bedframe and matress that was also conviniently tossed away that they used. The tribe cuddled together very tightly on the matress as the rains fell harder and harder. Many laughed and joked as they saw all of the furnature they collected the last couple of days get soaked.

LEIGH WANG -- Special Events Director: "I think that maybe we should have planned ahead for a bigger shelter. Though it was kinda neat for all of us to bond together in that bed during the storm, it still sucks to watch the couch that you sleep on get soaking wet knowing that you are going to have to sleep on that tonight."

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: "TREADMILL MARATHON"

The Brooklyn Tribe recieved cryptic and shocking mail that rainy night of which 5 raincoats were given for them to use. They made their way in the rain to another dark alleyway where they saw 5 treadmills and Nick waiting for them. He told them that the five of them will be competiting for individual immunity that night in a test of physical endurance and stamina. Each tribemate will walk on a treadmill and keep walking. As minutes go by, the treadmill picks up speed. Once a tribemate gives up or falls off the treadmill, they are eliminated. The last Sim on a treadmill wins immunity. The tribe was delighted to hear that they can wear the rain coats during the challenge since it's going to be a long one and the rain was going to be coming down a long time too. But, once the challenge was over, the rain jackets will be taken back.

The challenge started as everyone started walking on the wet and slippery treadmills at a pretty quick pace. The pace started to speed up to a powerwalk pace after 20 minutes. No one showed signs of stopping yet. Then after 10 more minutes, the members were starting to jog a bit. Tired and somewhat water logged, Danielle tapped out and stepped off the treadmill. With four left and another 10 minutes the pace picked up even more. Feet started to slip and slide a bit. The heavier and clumsier Donald couldn't keep up and his feet slipped from underneath of him. Shaken up from the faceplant on the treadmill, Donald picked himself up and took a seat with an umbrella. Another 10 minutes past and the breathless competitors were still slipping and sliding on the treadmills. Derricke also lost his footing and fell on his stomach onto the treadmill. It was now between Seth and Naomi. Though people favored Seth to win over Naomi, at the hour and an 10 minute mark, Seth did the unthinkable. He voluntarily sat on the treadmill (to be flung off like a rag doll) so that Naomi would take the golden bracelets and have immunity. Naomi held on for dear life as the treadmill started to slow from a dead sprint to one of a snails pace so she may step off and place the bracelets around her wrists.
