Hey there, my name is Blitz and this is my page.  I am owned by Dawn and Sam Smith and Roger and Joyce Daska of Modesto, California.
Welcome to my page!
My life started out pretty simple. I ate a lot and did a lot of sleeping with my Mom,  brothers and sisters.

At 7 weeks of age my Daddy's breeder came out and evaluated all of us in front of all the potential new puppy parents.  I think I did just fine.

I'm cute, and I KNOW it!
My Mom Dawn and my Grandma Karen decided that even though I was placed as a "pet" puppy that I should become a working Dawg!

So I started my carting training and entered a carting test 3 weeks away.  Grandma Karen has a way of doing that.  Hmmmmmmmmmm..
Sometimes I take things WAY to seriously!  :-)
My Mom Dawn thought Grandma Karen was nuts to think I might be ready for a REAL title this soon.  But off we went to Grandma Karen's to start training.  And train we DID!

Poor Mom Dawn got as much training as I did.  I felt sorry for her.  Grandma Karen was always telling her to "LOOSEN UP ON THAT LEASH!" Or just dropping it to "TIGHT LEASH, TIGHT LEASH" like some broken car alarm, well at LEAST as annoying <G>

So, after a few

where Grandma Karen and Mom Dawn set up an obstacle course and lessons around Grandma Karen's street we were off to the real thing!
YES! This is more like it!  Let's MOVE!
I wasn't sure what was going on and my Mom Dawn was becoming more nervous by the minute!
I didn't know it at the time but my other Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Roger came and watched me!  They had hidden out until I finished my turn because I
Oh yeah!  I make this look GOOD!
get really excited when they are around and Momma Dawn didn't want me to loose my concetration on my work.  Good idea Mom! I'm a Grandma's boy! :-)
When all was said and done and we went to get scores and to watch trophies and ribbons be passed out, we almost couldn't believe it when our number was called out for a 3rd place!!!   I had earned my CS (Carting Started) title with just 3 weeks training and done it with a score of 97 points!!!!
We got some really cool ribbons and our trophy consisted of a nice new stainless steel flat sided bucket filled with toys!!!

Grandma Karen got even more good news when 2nd place and 1st place went to my two sisters Diamond and Ayla.  Ayla had only had 3 weeks training as well.  Ayla not only won the CS class, but she managed to also go High in Trial!!!!  Way to go Sis!  Your Awesome!

We are planning to try for our CI (Carting Intermediate) in February 2003.
My Mom Dawn has never done any of this "title" stuff before, but I think she likes it just fine.  See the big smile on her face in the picture to the left?  I was pretty darn happy too.  Not because I won ribbons, trophies, or got a title, but because I made my Mom and the rest of my family very happy that day. I like it when they are happy.  It makes me feel good!

Could this be why I have the nickname "The weed?"
I am growing up really fast and I know my Mom Dawn and Grandma Karen have plans for me to get some obedience titles as well as get the rest of my carting titles.

My page will get updated as I do new things and as I grow into a "big" dog.

Keep a watch out for updates to my page.  I am hoping there will be a whole LOT!!!  I have tons of fun when I'm working and I especially like the treats!!!  :-)

Thanks for visiting my page and come back soon!
FLASH!!! Blitz has received the rating of OFA Good!!!!
