The 7 Churches of Revelation

The messages to the 7 Churches of Revelation have 3 meanings:
1.  They are specific messages to the 7 Churches of Asia.
2.  They represent the Spiritual conditions of the 7 Church Ages throughout history.
3.  They represent the 7 Spiritual conditions of every soul on earth.

I am only going to discuss number 3 here - how the messages of the 7 Churches reveal our own spiritual strengths and/or weaknesses.

Every Christian soul on earth fits into ONE of the categories described in the 7 Churches.
Let us examine these spiritual conditions:

The Compromising Church - Pergamos

This is the Church that committed Spiritual Adultery and “married” the world.  The Church who did not remain separate to the world but became a part of the world.  “Adulterers and adulteresses!  Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with GOD?  Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of GOD.”  James 4:4.  As a result of embracing the world, it strayed from the Truth and embraced the doctrines of Balaam and the Nicolaitanes.  It thus became Satan's Seat - the point where false doctrines where conceived.
