| LR: Would you consider Treason a politically based band? Or just a band with political influence? JF: i don't know we just write about things that piss us off and our view on the world. yeah our band says a lot of things about the wrong doings of the government and the society in general but i think the word political has become a meaningless label. my views are my own i choose to think freely with out conforming to any political label, i dont believe in politics the only thing i believe that exists is the bullshit and the truth. LR: Are you looking forward to the next election with the chance of Bush being taken out of office, despite him losing the election before and still becoming "president"? JF:I think that no matter if people vote for him or not , he will still get into office, and not to mention that even before this election it was only the electoral vote that counted anyways.but im not looking foward to much because he will just be replaced with some other asshole anyway. thats the illusion of our "democracy". you have a choice between rich asshole #1 and rich asshole #2. who should i pick? dumb or dumber....what im really scared of though is if he becomes president again bush will pass a very fascist bill called the PATRIOT ACT II. if you thought part one was bad do some research and find out what the the second patriot act is about.if he becomes president again then i'm leaving this fucking country. LR: Vive Le Canada!Have you ever experienced oppresion in the scene because of your openess of views, and fighting back against the police? JF: of course i have but you wouldnt expect that since the punk scene is supposed to be so "open minded". i've gotten into countless arguments with so many brainwashed punks who constantly spew propaganda at me. i like to call them "REPUBLICAN PUNKS FOR OIL" it seems to me that most punks in n.y.c. have a lot of hair on top of their head and nothin in their brains... Sometimes people say that im preaching even though im just saying whats on my mind.I mean on t.v. there are 500 channels of motherfukin brainwash but you dont see them complaining about the media preaching to them everyday. Somebody's gotta speak the truth about whats goin on.. Most of these punk bands nowadays aint sayin shit.but on the good side i really do feel a lot of accomplishment i feel as if treason has opened up a lot of peoples minds and i can see that ive made a lot of people think when before they had their eyes closed. LR:What is the ideal Treason show for you, crowd wise? JF:a bunch of brainwashed american morons LR:What bands would you love to play with and/or tour with? JF:id like to tour with the subhumans LR:Is there any chance of a Treason tour in the future? JF:yeah definately, i wanna tour everywhere. i especially wanna tour europe. LR:Any plans to record release? JF:well we've already released a cd ourselves that was self titled, and there are over 1,000 copies out there worldwide. all over south america, europe, scandanavia,central america and even theres even 100 floating around obscure places like malaysia. those were 12 songs that were recorded on an 8 track analog machine,in a burnt out metal head's basement. a few months ago we recorded 8 more songs there and this release is called AMERICAN HOLOCAUST. all the money we make from this new cd will go to making a Full LP record and getting us recorded right. we will record about 20 songs,we are gonna do a few of our old songs over again because we feel it could've been recorded better and the rest are gonna be new songs.
