Best Supporting Actor
#2) Giamatti is a wonderful actor who has been snubbed two times too many.  Since American Splendor two years ago he's been wowing us and so has the Academy in not recognizing him.  Now he's in a film that is a predicted Best Picture Winner and there's truly no reason he shouldn't be nominated if he stays true to form.  Paul Giamatti-Cinderella Man

Jude Law is, as Sean Penn said, one of the best actors working in Hollywood.  The only grievence I have is that Sean Penn had no sense of humor, but either way it doesn't change Law's amount of talent and the times he was snubbed.  He has two nominations for two of his lesser performances, so let's hope that he does just as "o.k." and grabs a nom. Jude Law-All the King's Men

#3)
#1) Easily an Acto the Academy Should have recognized a while back.  He holds no bars in his performances and allows the character life.  His faces and looks and actions give new depth to each character and like Ralph Fiennes he has two pics coming this year.  One being Kingdom of Heaven and the other the new Batman film, Batman Begins.  Both look good. Liam Neeson-Kingdom of Heaven

1 Previous Nomination-
-1994-Schindler's List-Lead
#5) Sarsgaard's a wonderful actor who, like Neeson above, can breathe a new life into each character.  He allows you entrance to this person's world and that's something an actor needs to do otherwise you can't feel for this person in any way.  So that said, the film looks wondeful and so does he just as a name on its cast slate.  Peter Sarsgaard-Jarhead

#4) Ken Watanabe was a kind of wower two years ago with The Last Samurai.  Some say he was the only good thing about it and I say he was one of the best things in a good film.  He pulled the star power right out from under Tom Cruise and now he plays a character that feels even more at home for him.  Let's just say there's a very small chance he'll be left at home this year. Ken Watanabe-Memoirs of a Geisha
