| After her strike-outs (one where she should have won), Renee Zellweger was the immediate front-runner and the predicted winner, and she pulled through with a win. Renee's performance was the redeeming feature of Anthony Minghella's near failed adaption of Charles Fraziers novel. Her fun, farm girl vibe is something that pulled me out of this film with a smile. Winner:Renee Zellweger-Cold Mountain Other Nominees:Shoreh Aghdashloo-House of Sand and Fog Patricia Clarckson-Pieces of April Marcia Gay Harden-Mystic River Holly Hunter-Thirteen |
