Best Art/Set Direction
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

The lavish sets, over the top decorations and the detail put into the main room should be reason enough to win the award.
The Chronicles of Narnia:
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
#3)
Roger Ford
Epic battles on tall grassy plains, and giant palaces full of grand thrones, and a enormous manor with a decor that rivals Buckingham Palace, and a land covered in snow, it's magical enough for it.
Cinderella Man
#5)
Wynn Thomas
A dramatic and perfect recreation of the 1930's.  Perfectly crafted to match the gray bleak depression styles.
King Kong
#4)
Grant Major
Enormous sets of Skull Island,  with dense jungles, giant preserves for an enormous ape, New York City in epic fashion, and a village full of danger and deception.  Masterful work from an Oscar winner.
Memoirs of a Geisha

John Myhre
The guy won for stages and Chicago in the 20's, I think he can win in a style that always gets a nom.  Japanese places are always created gorgeously with lavish gardens and beautifully artistic forests and the towns are so idyllic.
