| Our monument to New York City 9-11 | |||||||||||||||||||
| Carved in it's entirety with chainsaws ,. A 30 inch plus diameter poplar log took 18+ months to compleat. The city under the American flag has special elements such as the fireman out of whose hose comes the flag. The fireman is hidden from view ( as in real life, he blends until needed). The oposite view has the working man ( like all the working men he's working) swinging his hammer. A policeman is right around the corner as New York policeman are prone to be ( there when needed without being in your face 24-7). We did not include destroyed buildings in this sculpture because that is yesterday's news and New York is more about tomorrow than yesterday. We did not carve this piece for profit, it is not for sale. |
