Subject: Request
For Exemption From 'Security Service'
Of Rotem Dan Mor, ID Number 043463322 For Reasons Of Conscious
I request to be released
from security service according to section 36a of 'Security Service
Law - 1986'. I have been serving in the Israeli army since 15.2.00
and am currently serving as a Soldier Teacher. I do not in any
way feel myself part of the army or the army a part of me.
During my time of service
I was inauthentic with the army and myself. It had cost me joy,
frustration and my physical health. I do not believe in the armys
way of being or its actions. Service in the Israeli army is not
in acorrd with my morals, values and what I feel in my heart is
right.
It would be irresponsible
to continue commiting myself to an organization with whom I do
not share a vision and am not commited to. I create the possiblity
of accepting the army, and it accepting me. This possibility has
allowed me to realize that the army and I are motivated by the
same asspirations though our ways of achieving them are different
in their way of being and the actions which create them.
I am no longer a soldier
as of this declaration. I shall ask to be exempt from the remainder
of my millitary service on the grounds of consciencious objection.
