| Mike and Virginia Green have been married for 43 years. They have 2 daughters, Laura and Kristi and 3 grandchildren, Tyler, Shelby and Megan. They have lived in Oklahoma all of their lives and have lived in Crescent, Oklahoma for the past 2 years. They have painted together off and on for the past 43 years. Virginia's favorite thing to paint is scenery with barns, houses, wind- mills, mountains, trees and lakes. Mike enjoys painting scenery and animals. Virginia spent many years teaching painting to others in Tecumseh and Shawnee, Oklahoma. She has also painted baptistry walls in many Oklahoma churches. Her first was at Pink Baptist Church in Pink, Oklahoma. Virginia enjoys spending her spare time painting while looking out her window at all of God's creation. She loves to teach others how to paint, especially her children and grandchildren. Mike enjoys spending his spare time doing woodworking and special wood crafting. His latest endeavor has been to repair and rebuild 2 windmills. One that is currently at the Frontier Country Museum in Crescent, Oklahoma and the other which is on their property in Crescent, Oklahoma. Mike enjoys building things like garden arbors and garden projects. He is an avid reader and gardner as well and loves to create his own species of plants by crossbreeding. He also grows extraordinary gourds and vegetables. Someday when Mike and Virginia retire from their full-time jobs they would love to spend their time doing these creative things on a full-time basis while spending time with their grandchildren. |
