Population StabilizationOn the World Population Day, Jully 11, 2001; Rtn. Sanjay Bhusari, a banker, dawned the apron of a doctor and set out on an audacious itinerary, covering more than 50 towns in a radius of 200 km from Nagpur; cruising on a specially built 'chariot' named 'Kutumb Kalyan Rath' [Family Welfare Chariot] . He traveled without respite, for 15 long days, covering each target location and spreading the message of family planning, population stabilization and family welfare among the rural and urban masses. The State Government of Maharashtra, partnered and complemented the effort. Rtn. Bhusari was aptly given company by two club members every day. Thus a total of 30 club members directly participated in the program. Need there be a better example of team work? Obviously the program was a grand success, Rtn Bhusari was an instant hero and Rotary Club Nagpur West made the member's proud.
