Rotary Club "Moscow", the first Rotary Club chartered in Russia
On June 5, 1990 in an atmosphere of hope and optimism Rotary entered the former U.S.S.R. for the first time with the Charter of the Rotary Club of Moscow: its creation was a result of the efforts and good-will of Rotary International, as well as of gradual development of freedom and democracy inside the country, alongside with the birth of a new class of financially and politically independently minded professional people who truly believed that �he profits most who serves best�.
