Rotaract clubs conduct at
least one Community Service project each year in an effort to improve the
lives of the people around them. The possibilities for worthwhile projects
are endless. Rotaractors not only have great ideas about how to help
people in need, but together they have the power to make these ideas work.
Many Rotaract service projects focus on current issues of importance to
young adults. |

Because Rotaractors want to learn more about other cultures and promote international good-will and understanding, they undertake at least one International Service project each year. Such activities take many forms: In District 3010 (India), Rotaractors from Delhi Downtown and Interactors from The British School organised cultural evening (Harmony) where they invited 24 countries to present their traditional dances and set-up booths to disseminate information about their respective cultures and lifestyles. In the United States, the Rotaract Club at the United Nations collected household goods to help people of war-torn Bosnia and Herzegovina rebuild their lives in the wake of tragedy. Rotaract and Rotary clubs in Great Britain organised a " camp" to enable people with disabilities from other countries to experience the sights and sounds of England barge trips, pistol shooting, visits to a zoo and local discos. During a trip to Tanzania, two members of the. Rotaract Club of Regensburg, Germany learned of a rehabilitation center which required wheelchairs and spare parts. On returning home, the Rotaractors organized to collect and send the needed supplies. As part of on-going efforts to support an orphanage in Burkina Faso, Rotaractors in France mobilized efforts to raise funds and provide an ambulance for use by the orphanage and surrounding areas.
