Lil Pig

This is Lil-Pig , a 1984 Suzuki SJ410 . I do not have all the info on it yet but complains were made as there was nothing here yet . When I met " IT " it was pretty much as you see it , had an original 1.0 ltr engine with the 4 speed gearbox . The rear of the cab was cut off and the front guards removed , mostly by the weather ( rust ) I believe . After a few runs with the owner there was a few complaints about the lack of power even with headers and new exhaust . I was heading out of town for a few months so I talked him  into installing my 4.16 t/case to see how he liked it . Well when I got back it took a few weeks to get the t/case back , more lack of time on my part I guess but he now wanted one . Unfortunaly his 410 case was not the right one to make a 4.16 so two second hand t/cases were aquired and worked into a 4.16 and installed . Around this time a beefed up front axle was installed and hand cut 30x9.5 tyres fitted . This seemed to do the trick for a few months anyway but alas there was talk of more power etc , were does it end . Well after squashing a few doubts about fuel injection a 1300 gti was on the cards for the pig.

Sadly , as you can see , the poor 1.0 ltr engine had an untimely death a short time later when it started spitting oil out of the number 3 spark plug hole . This stepped up the search for a suitable suzuki gti and in no time a near mint one was found , abeit with a small frontal damage , nothing to concern us though . Thus started an engine change that did not go as smothly as it could have but never the less fired up first time , much to my amazement as I had cut and re-installed the efi computer from the gti into the 410 . Saidly I have not been in the thing since it has been finished but from all accounts the owner is happy with the performance of the little gti motor and is now looking at 413/Samurai axles for width and strength . Before you say a samurai axles for strenght , have you seen a 410 axle ???? During the installation of the gti motor the radiator was moved to the rear and the gti gas tank installed in the rear also ( see photo's ) but hopefully I will have some more photo's and a full story on the swap .
