Dramatic Monologue: Dragon on My Stereo By Rosy the Cat I am a fierce, terrible beast, With my twin heads, I'd gladly feast On cows and goats and pigs and deer and even human flesh; it's me you should fear! Precarious is my perch, the overflowing Of things cluttering my land, placed, slipping Slowly, by another whom I cannot touch, Though they occasionally touch me. My wings are extended, ready to fly, Can't you see the boredom in my eyes? All four of them! It's been to long since We have flown, supported by a child's hand, hence The yawning gape of my sister's mouth, Once thought a terror-inducing snarl, now an uncouth, hidden yawn. A simple touch of a wayward hand Sends her sliding, and, I hope, to be caught by that same hand. So here we are; Fear us! Yes, Yoo-hoo! Over here! No, not the discarded dress... The dragon! Here, in all our magnificence! We could do Kereeo- Kee, if that is what it'll take! Yes, here, on the stereo!
