Rosy the Cat has been writing fan fiction since her freshman year of High School, aka before her website went online. For those who don't know, that would mean she's been writing since 1998, and the site's been around since aproximately 2000. Rosy has, since she started writing, learned many usefull things, like typing really really fast, and text formatting, all of which make her life happier and easier. Her site was not a pretty thing to see in the beginning, mainly because she had no frickin' clue what she was doing. Her writing also wasn't a pretty thing to see prior to taking a keyboarding class. All hail keyboarding! =^^;=
She once specialized in Sailor Moon and Harry Potter fics, though she has since expanded her repitoir into Pirates of the Carribean, Phantom of the Opera, and X-men. In real life, Rosy is quiet-'til-you-know-her Emily B., an exausted college student/aspiring autheress. When not doing that, she writes, reads more than she writes, and avoids her ototou and onii-san (respectively aka "What Is Your Problem?!" and "Mister Sneaky Pants"). Currently she is focused on an original work intended to serve as her senior Capstone project, which she plans to eventually turn into a Fantasy novel that will outsell everything J. K. Rowling has ever written. Or, at least, leave her financially independent long enough to write some more.
Rosy the Cat in short:
Pen name: Rosy the Cat
Gender: "If you've seen my pen name and think I'm a guy, there is something wrong with you."
Birthday: October 6th
Age: 24
Location: California born and raised, though my college is in Illinois.
Interests: Anime, reading in general, manga (Japanese comic books to you poor Anime-deprived souls), fantasy, historical fiction, Sci-Fi, or a mix of two or more of these in specific, writing (duh!), reading asorted fan fics, cooking, History, ceramics, jewlery making, and singing.
Doing: My level best not to flunk or go insane from the combined pressures of school and NaNoWriMo.
Fandoms to write: See Autobiographical Section.
Ships: None in particular. I'm open to pretty much anything, if the author makes it believable.
Weaknesses: Writer's Block, sweets, and a rambling mind that insists I come up with new stories while I'm trying to write ones already in progress. And bishies with long hair who kick butt. I'm a confirmed Legolas, Anubis (Ronin Warriors) and Yosho (Tenchi Muyo!) fangirl. Unfortunately, it's a given that I'm sharing Legolas with pretty much every LotR fangirl on the planet, and probably some of the fanboys.
*sigh*
