"Then why are you here Liz?" Max was intrigued, he never thought his secret would ever be anything but the first most important thing about him.

"I'm here because despite what I need to know from you, in the moment I got so desperate and I didn't know where to turn, or how to deal with the way I've changed, or who I felt most safe with sharing all thisthe only person I could think about was you." Liz lifted her head to look at the young man affectionately caring for her, with tearful eyes, "You'll keep me safe won't you Max?  Please tell me you'll keep me safe?"  Liz broke down into a force of tears.

Liz felt herself be lifted up to stand, felt Max's arms hold her strongly and lovingly, this is where she felt safe.  Max was overcome by Liz's words, he couldn't believe how much she both loved and trusted him, so much that her own personal problems weren't as important to her, as her relationship with him was.

"Yes Lizyou'll always be safe with me and I'll do anything to prove that."

"Then just tell me one thing, and tell me the truth," Liz proposed and Max, looking almost as upset as her at this point, nodded, "I only want to hear you answer, if you trust me with what I'll hear.  You, Isabel and Michaelwhere are you from?"

Max simply removed his arms from around her back and allowed her to stand alone.  Then he locked his eyes onto hers, raised one hand, his eyes were glossing over, and then he pointed towards the sky with one finger.  It was an image Liz was also strangely familiar with.  And with that, the two shared a hug, which was really much more than just a hug, and found a little part of themselves in each other, parts that nobody would ever be able to dismantle or breakor hide again.

Meanwhile back at the home of the Parker family, a young girl had shown up at the door.  Liz's mother answered.

"Hello, if you're here for Liz, she left for school some time ago, she was in a real hurry today, I guess I can't complain that my child wants to go to school so badly."

"Oh no, that's alright Mrs Parker, I just came to give here these." The girl handed Liz's mom a small arrangement of flowers and a card reading "Get well soon!"

"Thank you, Liz will be so pleased, that's very nice of you.  Judging by her behaviour earlier today, she's already over it.  You know, I know all of Liz's friendsand I don't recognise you." Liz's mom quizzed.

"That's because I only met her yesterdayof all days."

"So you're the young girl that took Liz to the hospital?  That was very brave of you to put yourself on the line like that." Mrs Parker quickly gave the girl a hug and a light peck on the cheek for appreciation, " We're all so thankful for what you did and if we can help you out in any way"

"That's really not necessary Mrs Parker, really, I was just doing what I felt I had to do, I couldn't live with myself if I would've just watched and allowed things to get any worse.  Really it was no problem."

"Wellwould you like to come inside for a drink, or a bite to eat, or anything?"

"Thanks all the same Mrs Parker, but some other time, I really have to get going, I enrol at school today, just tell Liz I stopped by."

"Sure, some other time would be greatand who shall I say stopped by?"

"Tessmy name is TessTess stopped by." The girl replied with a smile, as she walked off behind the closed door of the Parker home, towards a whole new life she was going to share, with some of the other students at Roswell High.  Who knows what the future holds for her, and for them?

Later on, after school, in the nighttime, Liz remembered what happened after she and Max had bared their deepest and darkest to each other.  She remembered the tears in her eyes disappearing as if they were never there before.  She remembers smiling.  She remembers being greeted by Maria and Alex as soon as she left Max in that classroom.  She remembered happiness.  She remembered her friends.

After reminiscing about earlier events, Liz looked down at her table, to find an empty paged journal.  She'd never had a reason to write in it before, never thought her life was interesting enough, but now, things had changed.  She turned to the first page and took her pen to it.

"My name is Liz Parker, and today, this really amazing thing happened.  I was supposed to die.  I know this because I saw it and I felt it.  Then something even more amazing happened.  I was brought back to life.  But see, this happened more than just once, because I found new life in the eyes of a boy, the same boy who already gave me new life from his touch.  Now every time I'm near him, every moment I share with him, it feels like I'm alive again."
