Whether it is a good or bad thing, Isabel will always remain stubborn, reluctant to the concerns of others. At times her behaviour and actions can even be precieved as unpredictable.
The only two people she really connects with and cares for are Max and Michael, even though Tess is one of them, she feels like she and the boys are familly and Tess is an outsider still, which is a shared concept by many.
