Liz and Max try to continue on as they had before 'their experience' and Liz tries to keep her relationship with Kyle going. What has happened between her and Max is getting in the way though, as they now have a 'connection'.
Maria feels uncertain about her feelings towards the aliens (who they refer to as 'Czechoslovakians' in daily conversation to avoid seeming weird) is unsure of whether they should be helping them or not. Liz reassures Maria that it will all be fine and that there's nothing for her to worry about.
Meanwhile, Liz's new substitue Geometry teacher (who appears to know very little about Geometry) is making Liz suspicious, and these suspicions rise to another level when Topolsky questions Max of Michael's whereabouts.
Liz tells Michael of her suspicions about Topolsky and Michael questions her of the photograph Valenti showed her. Michael breaks into Valenti's office to get the photo and when he gets in, he finds a key that gives him a flash of an unclear vision.
Later, Max and Liz get even more suspicious when they hear Topolsky talking about Michael again, but it is revealed that Topolsky is the new guidance counsellor and is just concerned Of Michael's lack of attendance at school.
Valenti meets with FBI Agent Stevens to report that his findings were insufficient and Agent Stevens then proceeds to empty Valenti's office of all UFO/Alien related files. The only item Valenti managed to keep a hold of was a mystery key, which to his surprise, later finds to be missing. |
