| SERIES ONE EPISODE ELEVEN THE TOY HOUSE |
| When Max uses his powers to save his mother from an accidental fire, she becomes suspicious. When Diane questions him about how he saved her, he answers that she should not be suspicious of her children and offers no real answer. (She is suspicious as he said he put it out with water and that she must not have seen him do it. Though it was an electrical fire which can't be put out with water) Isabel and Max now fight over whether they should tell their mother or not about their alien secret. Isabel says that it's her right as well, not just Max's to inform their mother. Max wins with his side of the argument though, and they decide to continue to keep it a secret. Diane sits down to watch some old family movies and comes across one where a younger Max heals and saves a little bird using his powers. She confronts Max again, who runs out of the house saying that it maybe would be better if he just moved out for good. Isabel, Michael and Max have another fight over telling Diane the truth. Isabel says that their mother loves them unconditionally while Michael argues that there is no such thing as unconditional love. Max mulls over this and then goes to see Diane in the park. He confesses to her that he does have a secret but that he can't tell her what it is. Max tells Diane that she is his mother and that their house is his home. He gives her a little toy house that he had since they adopted him. He hopes that she can understand and respect his decision. Fearing that she will lose her adopted son she has come to love as her own, she tells Max that it doesn't matter who he is, she still loves him and trusts him. Max then goes to Isabel telling her that their secret's safe and she realises that he hadn't told their mother the truth which makes her upset. Meanwhile, Valenti snoops around looking for information from Diane about how Max was able to put out the fire. Diane protects Max, even though she herself doesn't quite know what happened. Liz goes to Kyle to try and mend their friendship, feeling distraught about her and Max breaking up. Michael uses his hands, not his powers to make a napkin holder (?!?) for Maria to thank her for what she did for him when he was sick. |
