Family: Eldest son of academy award winner Tom Hanks(actor, director, writer, producer - born July 9 1956, married Colin's mother 1980, divorced 1987, remarried Samantha Lewes (Colin's mother is Lewes) (actress, producer)). Grew up with mother in Sacramento. Stepmother/siblings: Rita Wilson (actress - married Tom 1988), sister Elizabeth (b. 1982), 2 half brothers - Chester Hanks (b. August 4 1990), and Truman Theodore Hanks (b. December 26th 1995) Acting Experience: Colin was determined to make his own way in the world of acting and even auditioned for That Thing You Do under a stage name so as not to get jobs cos of his famous father. He is relatively new at acting.
