REGIMENTAL REGISTEROF THESEVENTEENTH ENGINEERSFRANCE 1917-18-19PUBLISHED BY THE "OO LA LA " TIMESSAINT NAZAIRE, FRANCE, FEBRUARY, 1919 |
This is the official roster of the railroad men who served in the 17th Engineer (Railway) Regiment in WW I building the rail transportation system need to insure victory.
To find a specific name each unit must be checked as well as the transferred list at the end of each company listing. The names are arranged alphabetically within each company unit except the Officer Staff is by rank.
Be patient! The Register was compiled by volunteer soldiers and a French printer set the type by hand. The booklet is 85 years old and very hard to read. Many errors resulted. It is known that some names are missing and the Regimental Supply Office is not listed.
