Rossendale Childminding Service provides professional home-based childcare. My name is Linda Shore and I am an OFSTED registered childminder in Rawtenstall, Lancashire. I am 43 years old, married with four children of my own ranging from 3 years to 13 years. My registration allows me to care for four children under the age of 8, of which two may be under 5 years old. My latest Ofsted inspection (April 2004) resulted in a "GOOD" rating, the highest level possible for childcare providers.
I have also obtained funding through the New Opportunities Fund (Lottery Funded) to create and maintain 'out of school care' places. This has allowed me increase my equipment and resources for school age children.
I have an NVQ3 in Early Years Care and Education. I have also completed the Ofsted pre-registration course, covering areas such as working with children, working in partnership with parents, health and safety, child protection and meeting children�s needs. I have a current first aid certificate. I also have certificates for Basic Food Hygiene and Promoting Positive behaviour. I am booked to attend a further course on child protection, and will continue to keep abreast of current childcare related standards and undertake any addition appropriate training.
I am a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA) and as such I am obliged to accept and follow the NCMA Quality Standards, guidelines for good practice. I also hold public liability insurance with NCMA/Royal Sun Alliance. |
