You'll see, Rachel and Ross won't speak a word in this fanfic. I just use two songs, both by Bryan Adams. It's a short one and maybe the most trashy story I've ever wrote :) Anyway, just read and please review.

Okay, here we go. Let's say the thing with Joey accidentally proposing and Rachel accepting never happend. Ross had the ring though but hadn't had the guts to propose. It's now a few weeks after the birth of Emma. Ross, Rachel and Emma are at home, all together in Ross's apartment. Rachel still is afraid of what Janice said to her about Ross leaving them when he has  his own family. But she hasn't talked to him about that and tries hard not to think about that too much. After Ross talked to Phoebe he made a lot of thinking but is still confused about his feelings for Rachel.

Ross was lying in his bed, staring at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep but was very tired. Something was bothering him, he just didn't know what exactly. He tried to make himself comfortable by rolling from one side to the other. It didn't help so he laid on his back and stared at the ceiling again when he heard the sound of soft music playing. He wondered if he forgot to turn off the radio. It certainly would wake up little Emma so he decided to go and turn it off as quickly as possible. He jumped off of his bed and rushed to the door and opend it quietly. He saw the light on, rubed his eyes  and then noticed Rachel sitting on the couch. He only saw her from behind and wasn't sure what she was doing in midden of the night. Maybe she was feding Emma or maybe she just couldn't sleep. He softly entered Emmas room to check whether she was there or with Rachel. But the little girl was lying in her bed, sleeping peacfully without making any noices. He looked at her and smiled. He has never seen something so beautiful, he almost couldn't believe Emma was his. He kissed her forehead softly and left the room.

Rachel was sitting on the couch in her pyjamas, hugging her knees. She stared at a spot on the wall and listened to the music, her eyes almost closed. It wasn't Emma that woke her up, no...her little angel slept peacfully in her room. Rachel just didn't feel like sleeping. Too many things were once and again rushing through her mind. There was Ross and Emma, Ross...and Janice, Ross.....Joey.....Ross, her dad...and oh yeah, Ross. What was wrong with her. She just couldn't stop thinking about him. She tried to get rid of this thoughs so she just listened to the music.

The song that was playing before ended and a new one, Please Forgive Me by Bryan Adams started. (I'm sure all of you know the songs I'm using. If not, hell!!!! Go somewhere to download them! :) )

Ross was about to turn around when he heard the first three lines of the song that was now playing. The melody and the words made him freeze. It sended him cold shivers up and down his spine so he rested and listened to the song.

Only feels much stronger - i wanna love ya longer

Ross softly leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. It felt like someone has  read  his mind and made a song out of it. Could that be? Could really someone else feel the same way he did?

Rachel felt the words touching her heart. Listening to that song made her sad. She shivered a bit and hugged her knees even tighter.

Many pictures were rushing through Ross's head. Rachel crying when they broke up, Rachel angry and sad when he told her that he can't see her anymore, Rachel hurt because he kissed her sister, Rachel's face when Ross announced the wedding of Emily and him and then again Rachel crying when they broke up. He still couldn't believe he did that to her. He regretted so many things he did to Rachel.

Rachel closed her eyes. The lyrics brought everything back. The longing for Ross grew with every line and it almost killed her. She remembered the kiss after the prom video, the night at the planetarium and then the kiss after her water broke. They really were close but now there was this fear of losing him...again.

Ross still had his eyes closed when he remembered their first kiss outside the Central Perk. He slowly opened his eyes but looked down. Why was he still so afraid of telling her how he really feels. He could maybe get everything he wanted since he was 15. Why don't go for it?

Rachel felt like crying whe she remembered Ross's hurt expression when he came down the stairs to take her to the prob, when she said that they will never happen (in CP, TOW the prom video), when she told him they should take a break, whe he saw  her going out with Mark after their break up and the expression he had when she told him that she did all the stupid things because she was still in love with him (TOW joey's porsche)

One thing i'm sure of - is the way we make love<

That's why i'm sayin'...

We see both of them remembering the night they slept together before C&M's wedding. A smile spreads across Ross's face and then he gets this sad look. It was the list time he touched her, kissed her and was close to her.

The song ended and Ross slowly went over to the couch. He didn't exactly know what he was going to say or say, he just wanted to be close to her again. When he reached he couch he stoped and she looked up at him as if she knew he would come. They gazed into each others eyes and Ross smiled a bit. He then sat down beside her without looking away. He was going to say something when the next song started, so he just kept looking at her and smiled a bit.  (the song is Everything I Do (I do it for you) )

They didn't have to say anything. The song said it all. Ross just took one of her hands into his and rubed it softly, still gazing into her eyes. She had never looked more beautiful, even though she was in her pyjamas. He wanted to kiss her so badly...

Rachel's eyes began to tear up and seeing her like this made Ross teary eyed too. The song suited perfectly. There was no word too much and no word left to describe what both were thinking.

Ross couldn't wait any longer, he wanted to touch her, kiss her, feel her and just be close to her. But he didn't want to screw the moment so he simply hugged her and that was exactly what she needed. She wraped her arms around his back and pressed his body against hers. she burried her face into his shoulder while he held her tight. He finally felt completed and so did she.

They slowly broke the hug but stayed close. Then she slowly and softly grabed his face and kissed him passionately. Everything was back and the fear was finally gone. It felt like their first kiss and it seemed to last forever and most important, it felt right. It was like lost soulmates found each other again.
