We arrived in Chiang Mai at midday on Oct 25th after a one hour flight to the north of Bankok. During the afternoon we walked around the old city where there were lots of Buddhist Temples however we only ventured inside one.
We later found the market where we bought some pineapple for 20 baht (30p/40c).
While walking round the town we came across this old teak building which was once a palace and is now part of a hotel.
That evening we eat at a restaurant called The Antique House II, the Chang Beer was 69 baht (one pound) a pint (640cc) and very refreshing too, it's quite strong at 6.4%.
