| Away Tournaments Away congresses typically range from one to three days in length; They are hosted by Colleges (e.g. Princeton, Penn, Columbia) or high schools. Students apply to attend these competitions and are selected based on the quantity and quality of participation in the club (for more on this click here). Away congresses are divided like congress, by committee. Each committee (e.g. Judiciary, International Relations, Education and Labor) debates bills only relevant to that committee. Bills that are passed in committee might be sent to full session, which is a bunch of committees debating in a much larger chamber. |
