SUMMARY

In summer 2000 the patient had a sclerotherapy treatment for varicose veins.  The patient was given subcutaneous injections with a substance that contained, between others, Natrium-Morrhuat and eventually Cod Liver Oil. This Oil is used in alternative medicines due to its high contents of omega acids.  Because of this the patient presented a Severe Anaphylactic Shock and Respiratory arrest. The patient was intubated and in this process she presented severe loss of blood and coagulation problems.

During her treatment at the Intensive Care Unit at the Florida Hospital, the patient received the following medication, which she tolerate: Claforn, Dopamin, Epinephrin, Benadyl, Solu Medrol, as well as blood transfusion and Fresh Plasma.

EKG, Echocardiogram and Gastroscopie did not show any abnormalities.
A clostridien-stomach infection was treated with Levaquin and RFlagil.
The consequent ambulatory exploration with internist showed high levels of Transminasas due to unknown causes, and a slight anemia. PTT, INR Thrombozyten were normal.
