Rosie Ratz Journal
July 28 - Me, Rosie Here. Whew!! Weeks of planning and getting settled into my new home. The Catz and I get along fairly well. I still don't trust them futher than I can throw a Sunflower seed but they bring us, me and my friends, plenty of entertainment. Sorry to say my first two cage mates passed to Rainbow Bridge but my new friends are just fine.

There is Mama Rattie who came as a rescue to Daddy Ratz and brought her 4 babies who are about 3-4 months old. Thery're called Sandy, Annie & Scarlet. All white! There're almost as big as the Mama. A rattie rescue from a snake feedin' pet store is little Cocopuff, a brown baby boy who still lives with us. A sweetheart and shy fellow. Fanciface is a white gal with a black face markings and hyper as they come!! Drives me crazy when she starts running around.

We are all in a large cage home with Moma's other two baby boys in a three story townhouse right next to us. Both are white handsome fellows who are really friendly.

July  28 - Well, I'm glad to see all is going well with my little charges. Being new to raisin' ratties is a real Learning Experience and fun too. I didn't think the little rascals were so darn friendly. They have already stolen my heart. And I'm so proud of the catz. They keep their paws to themselves and just watch through the cage bars. Now if I could only get this diet straight for them, I'll be happy!!

July  28 - Cages are lookin' great and the upkeep to keep them clean isn't too bad. I worried a little about that when I rescued the ratz and brought them home but  they turned out to be the friendliest little 'guys' I've ever seen. Of course I'm new at this Rattie Raising. I walk by their cage and a few of the little girls jump up and cling to the sides to get a little scratch on the head. So cute!!! And the Catz after a few nips jump back like springs if one touches them by accident.

July 28 - I speak for all us Catz and I say the Ratties that have moved in with us seven catz better watch their tails and noses!! They stick them out of the cage and we sniff but if it weren't for the fact that they have nipped a few of us, we'd show them who's boss!!!!
