Rosalia Ruberto grew up in East Granby , CT in a closely knit family where they believed in good morals and strong ambitions. There was always talk about success and achieving a goal in life. Her parents were born and raised in Italy and unfortunately did not have the opportunity to go to college and pursue a chosen career. Throughout her childhood, Rosalia, who soon adopted the nickname "Rosie", was always fond of nature and the happiness of a simple life. She loved to explore new places and surroundings and of course meeting new people. Most of her art at a young age was in the craft of sewing and crotche as well as jewelry making. Her family has always pursued the arts and music, so it has always been in her life. Rosie is mostly influenced by flowers, mood, color and the creative imagination, as well as music.

At 26 years old, Rosalia Ruberto is a graduate from Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, CT of May 2005. She received her bachelor of arts in Art History and a minor in Fine Arts with an Achievement of Excellence Award as well. During her four years of college, Rosalia has participated in a number of activities and programs that has helped to progress her education and experience as well. For six months, she had attended the art school, Lorenzo de’Medici in Florence, Italy where she studied The Renaissance and Baroque art eras to the full extent. Rosalia had also done an internship at the New Britain Museum of American Art for three months. During her education studies, she has observed and assisted in a number of classrooms, from rural to urban communities. Rosalia was also a tutor in Math and Reading for fourth and fifth graders in a Bridgeport elementary school.

Rosalia has become enamoured with the idea of becoming an elementary school art teacher. For two years now she has been teaching art at Saint Gabriel School in Windsor, CT. Not only does she love to work with the children, she believes the position is very rewarding and students are able to experience her knowledge of the arts to the extent that she has. Training at Central Connecticut State University, Rosalia is aiming to obtain her teaching certificate.
