| my favorite band is weezer. i'm really into the emo and dork rock. and also the lovely stylings of jimmy eat world. I'm into ska a lot, hence the lovely five iron frenzy and less than jake. i also love a good acoustic guitar, which is where dashboard confessional, james taylor, jennifer knapp, ani difranco, joni mitchell, jewel, and jars of clay come in. my favorite singer is rebecca st. james...and it always has been. she's so on fire for God, and i really appreciate her lyrics. i love oldies, and classic rock like creedence, the who, and the rolling stones. i love bands that are original and that aren't generic. some bands that went a different way that i enjoy are the smashing pumpkins, system of a down, the cranberries, and the dave matthews band. and then there are the trendsetters like michael jackson. i also dig the piano...used by tori amos and ben folds five. and then there's what i like to call "angry chick" music presented by garbage and ani difranco. other than that, i think the only types of music that i simply can't get into are country, rap, and that horrible, horrible pop. |
