one_glimmer

the butterfly that flutters within me
wasn't there before.
but it consumes me now
overruling prior thoughts of mine
that human brings forth human
to pass on traditions that refuse to die
but in all the cosmos
two juxtaposing forces cannot hide
from what they should be
to look upon a face
and see a story unfolded before
lying across the shadows
exposed by light of expression
created within a heart so full
it cannot conceal the feeling
for the way it chooses to go
when eyes can see
a million people contained in one
introducing itself to every one
the pain slips away from it
because it knows every element
of his every dimension
without a word spoken
draws nearer to his side
covering him with its every being
absorbing the pain
the anguish and hurt of a life
so torn and full of sorrow
my heart would take it all for its own
to see one glimmer of that smile it has seen
through to his very soul
and out the sparkles in his eyes
and i know my heart won't leave his side
even if the butterfly is crying.
