| Monday, June 17, 2002 I just had my first real concert on Friday...it went really well. I opened for Casie Rogers and Elizabeth Smith. Hopefully I'll get a demo made soon. Check back for more information on that. I don't have any concerts planned as of yet, but you can bet that the Net Cafe hasn't seen the last of me. We'll see how that goes with work and everything. Wednesday, June 26, 2002 Well, concert number two was another opening at the Net Cafe in Lake Odessa. I played four songs..."An Old Man's Time", "Without You", "Alienation Blues", and "God-Sent Gift." It went surprisingly well considering I played really crappy. I couldn't find the right chords on the first song; during the second song I looked down and I thought my capo was on backwards, so I paused and it threw me off; and I forgot the words in the third song, so the intro was excessively long. The last song went well...I guess it made some people cry. All in all, the concert was awesome. I opened for Thom Thelen, who opened for the headliner, Erik Rishel. They both played very well. I'm planning on coming back to the Net sometime to open for whoever...and in the fall possibly headline. When I get my demo from Micah, I'll turn it into places like Barnes and Noble in Lansing and The Skelletones in Grand Rapids...or whatever little coffee house/youth center/store I can find. Until then, check back with me for more information. Wednesday, July 31, 2002 It's been a long while since I've updated. I just got my first CD from Micah; which won't hit the public. It will be used as a demo for awhile. I'll still send sound files, though, if anyone missed my June 17th concert. My next concert will be recorded and the CD will be released. Copies will be made available through me or at the Net Cafe. It won't be any more than $5. But that's all I really had to say...just to share my CD excitement. |
