2008 Game Summaries
The 2008 season started out with a quick disposal of 3-D Taxi in 5 innings, due to the 15 run mercy rule. Vinny Spaz, Jason Morgan and Corey Cooper led the offensive attack with 3 hits and 2 RBI's a piece. Marty Lamon Jr., Julian Alteri, and Joe Brislin also had 2 hits a piece as well as adding a combined 5 RBI's. Jason Schloop also had the teams first homerun of the season. Mark "Sparky" Alteri pitched a gem, giving up 1 run on 4 hits and also getting his first strikeout of the season. The Alteri's Bakery/Kicker's Lounge/Miken improved to 1-0.

In game 2 of the doubleheader, Pewter Mug could not stay with the 2-time defending champs, as they lost in 5 innings due to the mercy rule. Lee Combs, Tonino and Julian Alteri had 3 hits a piece and combined for 8 runs. 6 other Alteri's players had 2 hits a piece, including Jesse "The Body" Roshia who, despite the heckling from Guilfoyle players the entire game, added 2 runs and a RBI. Mark Alteri gave up 1 run on just 6 hits. The Alteri's Bakery/Kicker's Lounge/Miken improved to 2-0 and will have a bye next week.
