Ranch News - Well, the cutter guy started cutting the alfalfa field yesterday. He only worked for several hours before the tractor was abandoned in the field. So, this morning there are several people standing around the tractor out in the field. My mustang, Rocket, alerted me to this new situation by coming close to our open, screened front door and whinnying loudly, cutting through the peaceful country quiet of birds chirping in the distance. I went out and found out about the situation while he looked at me expectantly. So, I gave him the pez head of acknowledgement and he dropped his head and moved on. I was just going to say, "Who needs guard dogs?! When I have a guard mustang?" But, then I realized, I had taken the squirt bottle out and threatened the dogs because they were barking before I knew there was a situation. I guess they're like the kid who cried, "Wolf!" I mean, they bark alot, so I never take them seriously. Rocket, however, carefully chooses his interactions. This one was a new one, though. The rest of the herd of four was in the farthest corner away from this melee in the alfalfa field. I can just imagine Rocket sending them away and telling them, "I'm on it. I will alert the human." He had a very urgent and serious tone in his whinny. I wish I could upload a picture of him today to honor his heroics. But, the pictures are on a computer that crashed. I haven't been able to retreive them yet. But, when I can, I WILL post one here!
Art News - Computer stuff, web stuff, ring stuff, it's a nightmare for me. I'm doing my best, but I think I MAY be messing stuff up. I don't know. The computer crashes alot. Anyway, I've been trying to set up shop in "rings" of similar interests. At one point I got a message that I OWNED the ring now. Whaaaa? How did that happen? If you belong to that ring that I accidentally hijacked, I am sorry. I don't want to own any ring. I don't even have my own wedding ring! (My cow ate it . . . . seriously. I threw her some hay and my ring flew off with it and my big dairy cow Bessy just ate it. I thought of feeding her a magnet as some people do in order to get rid of nails, other metal, etc that cows tend to eat and to keep the cow's insides safe, but that never happened. And cows are SO much piggier than pigs actually are. I mean, I looked through the "aftermath" and tried to find that ring, but it was hopeless. So, I've been ringless for years now. And this was the SECOND time I had lost the ring. The first time was right after I got married. I was all over this farm. I mowed, I cleaned pens, I was shearing llamas, I was ground driving llamas and horses, I was pounding in t-posts. Then, that night I realized, "Wow. My ring is gone." I looked everywhere of course. It wasn't until over a year later when I was cleaning the llama pen that I had cleaned MANY times since then, that I found that ring. Then the cow incident happened.) Aaaaannnyway. How did this get back to the ranch news?
I sent off Lil Ella and Baby yesterday. I started working on that white tiger.
I guess I'm just in the ranch mode today! :D That's all for now. Have a great day!
