Art News - This photo is a work in progress. It's my version of Firenze the centaur from the Harry Potter books. The one in the movie was nothing like the description in the book, in my opinion. So, I'm working on this one. Eventually, he'll be holding a bow and arrow. He'll have legs. His horse body will be gold palomino color. Centaurs represent Sagittarius which are some of my favorite people. Sagittarians shoot their arrows of truth high into the lofty realms. The Sags are also great scholars on thought, philosophy. I read a bit about Chiron who was a centaur teacher in ancient Greece while researching this sculpture.

I had to put Firenze aside while I work on three German Wirehaired Pointer woolitures for the upcoming Nationals. I am very honored to be chosen to create art for the GWP people. I don't have photos of those yet. I think I will be posting them here, so people can see them "born".
