Mariemeia Barton
Mariemeia is the daughter of Leis Barton and an unknown man. She is remarkably mature for a seven-year-old, considering that she is the �leader� of a rebellion. Okay, so in reality she is just a figurehead but she does take her position very seriously. It�s really rather disturbing seeing this little kid explain her plans for world domination and the like. Of course underneath it all Mariemeia is still very much a child, and she believed all of Dekim Barton�s lies.
Personally I think the biggest lie Dekim told her was that she was the daughter of Treize Khushrenada. Mariemeia claims it has been proven by DNA testing when talking to Relena. This would seem to be concrete evidence except for the fact that Mariemeia was most likely told this by Dekim. The very same Dekim who says that he can create another Mariemeia, which says that he was most likely lying through his teeth about her relationship to Treize. That fact is further backed up by the fact that Mariemeia looks nothing like Treize and bares only a slight resemblance to her mother. She doesn�t have the forked eyebrows, her hair is bright red and her face looks a lot like what we see of Leia Barton�s but nothing like Treize. Red hair isn�t a trait that has shown up at all in any of the people related to Treize. (Dorothy and Duke Dermail) In fact it doesn�t show up on the Barton side of the family either, which leaves me wondering where the heck she got the hair from in the first place. Also, looks aside (since this is anime and heredity does tend to skew a lot) it seems totally out of character for Treize to be sleeping around with some nurse he just met and to up and leave her, apparently never seeing or speaking to her again. He obviously has no idea that he has a kid out there somewhere, and you would think that Treize would have at least heard rumors of it. Therefor my conclusion is that Mariemeia is not related to Treize. She�s just a creepy kid who was very much mislead by Dekim.
