Dorothy Catalonia

Though they never meet in the series itself (or if they do it is very brief) Dorothy obviously knows Treize fairly well. This of course makes since given that shes his cousin. However, though they dont meet in the series, Treize still has quite an effect on Dorothy so she gets her own little section. (And I like Dorothy.)

At first it seems that Dorothy admires Treize because he shares her ideals about war to some extent. On the other hand Duke Dermails way of thinking is much closer to Dorothys or at least seems to be when we first meet Dorothy and of course she follows her grandfather much more than she does Treize. Later, when Dorothy joins up with Zechs it seems she has turned even farther away from Treizes line of thinking. To some extent she has at this but her later actions prove that she still cares about Treize, at least somewhat. Personally I think she tried to stop Zechs from shooting Treize with Libras cannon because she was remembering her father. As far as I know it is never stated in the series itself but apparently Dorothys father held Treizes position as the commander of the Specials/OZ. Thus, she didnt want Treize killed as well, especially in such an ignominious way. At the very least she would want him to go out in a blaze of glory, much the way she wants to die. (Erhave to check scripts on that last bit but I think she says something to that effect or that implies that when she has her duel with Quatre.)

Ummy point? I dont think I really have one other than that Treizes influence is far reaching or something like that. (Okay, I just wanted to ramble about Dorothy.)
